WPP to spend £300m on restructuring

In a bold attempt to put his own stamp on WPP’s future strategy its new chief executive Mark Read has announced restructuring plans costing £300 million over three years that he believes will “return the business to growth”.

The plan will lead to “a simpler, improved offer designed to capture the opportunities of a changing marketplace, and a streamlined structure built around the needs of clients”.
