Sector still lagging behind

The performance of listed marketing services groups’ shares continued to disappoint in the month to 12 April although in percentage terms they showed slightly more growth than the FTSE All Share Index during that period. The Marketing Services Financial Intelligence (MSFI) Index stood at 67.7 (January 2001: 100) – up 2.3% in the month while the All Share Index rose by 1.8%. Among the better performers were Adventis Group, Aegis Group, Cello Group, M&C Saatchi and Taylor Nelson Sofres.
