Publicis at a standstill: accounting claim refuted again

Publicis Groupe, the world’s third biggest marketing group, failed to increase its revenue in 2017.

And the group has repeated its rebuttal of claims that the accounts included the benefit of accelerating the application of a new accounting rule, although it conceded that it has now reclassified a small amount of contract revenue onto a gross basis instead of the net basis used previously (see Publicis says anonymous accounting allegations intended to “destabilise”).
