Oxygen8 Communications, the privately-owned provider of interactive media, mobile and voice solutions whose subsidiary Opera Telecom’s contract with GMTV was terminated after “irregularities” were found in procedures for running phone-in competitions (see Group involved in GMTV premium call controversy buys almost 6% of WIN), confirmed today that it had acquired a further 4% shareholding in AIM listed mobile technology specialist WIN. The shares are believed to have been acquired from funds managed by investment banker Investec which has reduced its holding to less than 2%.
