Information Commissioner to prosecute SCL Elections

Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham is planning to commence a criminal prosecution of SCL Elections for failing to deal properly with a subject access request from Professor David Carroll.

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is also examining whether individuals should face criminal prosecution.

SCL Elections is the UK based company established by Alexander Nix that held 19% of the share capital of the US data analysis and consulting firm Cambridge Analytica.  Both companies are now the subject of insolvency proceedings (see Cambridge Analytica and its UK related company go into administration).
