Big Huntsworth turnaround provides chairman Mapp’s swansong

Huntsworth has transformed its financial performance since 2016 from a post-tax loss of £18.2 million to a post-tax profit of £15.7 million, the company announced today, along with the news that chairman Derek Mapp will be retiring as soon as a replacement can be found.

Mapp joined Huntsworth as chairman in 2014 after Lord Myners departed abruptly and chief executive Lord Chadlington was heading towards the exit door.
