Henderson leaves Bell Pottinger: will his shareholding follow?

Reports over the weekend that Bell Pottinger Private’s chief executive James Henderson has departed in the wake of a South African scandal leave unanswered how the public relations consultancy will deal with his 23.3% shareholding.

On the face of it and subject to the company’s approval, Henderson would be entitled to redeem most of his shares at an overall price of almost £3.5 million.
