Communisis margins hit by recruitment costs and slow sales growth

A slowdown in marketing communications business, blamed on the Government’s introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation, held back profits at Communisis in the first half of 2018, according to the company’s interim results published today.

Profits of the stock market listed customer communications agency were also hit by a number of exceptional charges and a disproportionately large increase in other operating costs.
