Chime takes a sporting chance with £15m bid for Fast Track

Potential business growth from links with UK Athletics and sponsorship opportunities arising from the 2012 Olympic Games seem to have prompted Chime Communications to pay an initial £15 million to purchase Alan Pascoe’s sports sponsorship consultancy Fast Track Sales.

The deal, which will be settled in a mixture of cash and shares, has some of the characteristics of a sporting bet as it depends more on future prospects than on past performance.
