Bumper year should have enhanced Design Bridge’s value to WPP

Design Bridge’s selling shareholders are likely to have benefited from a bumper result in 2016 when negotiating the sale of the brand design consultancy to WPP, announced today.  Its core operating profit reached £3.4 million in that year before interest and tax.  It was the best result in the last five years or more, with 80% of turnover generated overseas.

The reported profit was even greater as the company also benefited from a £3.6 million gain on sale and leaseback of its Clerkenwell premises.
