Improved margins boost Writtle’s operating profit

Writtle Holdings, the privately owned marketing group, increased its operating profit by 32% in 2017 despite a fall in turnover after shedding its former subsidiary Creo.

The operating profit reached almost £5.5 million – or 13% of gross income.  That compared with £4.1 million and an operating margin of 9.2% in 2016 when the group had to bear the cost of the aborted bid for Tangent Communications and various restructuring costs.
